$10 provides $100 of medication - $10
When we created the model for the Dispensary of Hope, we wanted to demonstrate a strong return on investment for the program's donors - "its investors." What we found is that every dollar contributed generates $10 of free medication. For $1000...$10,000 of free medication. At $10,000...$100,000 of free medication. Medications that are going directly to those in need.
We knew that if you and others like you who are concerned about helping the uninsured knew the story of the Dispensary of Hope - and knew that a donation in any amount was worth 10x in direct impact - that we could close the gap on resources and get those next 100 sites open. Our goal is to try and raise $50,000 by the end of 2010 through the 10x Campaign.
Spread the Word
Get the Word Out - $25
There are still a considerable number of patients and clinics who simply don’t know we exist. Your contribution in this category will help us call, visit, tweet, and blog our way to the communities that need us most. We have found that our biggest needs are often in rural areas that lack a wide media presence and are therefore more difficult to reach. Your contribution will significantly help us enlist new clinics in these hard to reach areas.
Source Medications
Sponsor a Sourcing Bin - $120
Ninety-percent of all our medications for the Instant Access Program come from physician offices. Physician offices take sample medications nearing expiration and put them in a small, plastic red bin that is sent on to our distribution center for processing. While each bin, on average, contains thousands of dollars worth of medication – it still costs us a considerable amount of money to ship hundreds of bins to and from physician offices each month. Your contribution of $100 will pay for the costs involved in shipping a bin to-and-from a physicians office for a year.
Supply Medicine
Supply $1,000 worth of Medicine - $100
While the return on your investment will only increase as we get larger, the Dispensary of Hope can currently provide $10 worth of medication for a single dollar. Consequently, your $100 will provide for more than $1,000 worth of medication to patients in need. We think that’s pretty cool…and hope you do to.
Supply $2,500 worth of Medicine - $250
While the return on your investment will only increase as we get larger, the Dispensary of Hope can currently provide $10 worth of medication for a single dollar. So your $250 will provide more than $2,500 worth of medication to patients in need.
Supply $5,000 worth of Medicine - $500
While the return on your investment will only increase as we get larger, the Dispensary of Hope can currently provide $10 worth of medication for a single dollar. So like the math above, $500 will provide more than $5,000 worth of medication to patients in need.
Supply $10,000 worth of Medicine - $1,000
While the return on your investment will only increase as we get larger, the Dispensary of Hope can currently provide $10 worth of medication for a single dollar. So your $1,000 will provide more than $10,000 worth of medication to patients in need.
Supply $50,000 worth of medicine -$5,000
While the return on your investment will only increase as we get larger, the Dispensary of Hope can currently provide $10 worth of medication for a single dollar. So your $5,000 will provide more than $50,000 worth of medication to patients in need.
Turn On a Clinic
Support a Dispensing Site for A Year - $7,500
Our sites have the option of paying $625 a month to gain unlimited access to our inventory – allowing them to order as much medicine as they need for their patients on an ongoing basis. Your contribution in this category will allow you to sponsor a Dispensing site for a year….typically generating more than $100,000 of medication for local patients and families.
Turn on a Country
Support a Central Donation Store for a year - $850,000
OK…so it’s unlikely that our paypal account could handle a payment this large…but we thought we’d raise the bar for an enterprising individual, corporation, or foundation who wants to provide medicine for an entire country. And no…we’re not joking here. Our business model was built in a way that we could quickly scale to meet the needs of other countries effectively and efficiently – leveraging the sourcing and supply chain knowledge we’ve gained over the years. So if you’re interested in a special part of the world…or community…give us a call.
